FAQs
Not necessarily! Some of our canyoning weekends are suitable for beginners, while others are designed for sporty or experienced canyoners looking for more challenging adventures. Each trip includes information about the required fitness and technical level. Not sure which one is right for you? Just get in touch!
Absolutely! Solo travellers are more than welcome. Joining a canyoning weekend or holiday is a great way to meet other outdoor enthusiasts and share unforgettable adventures. We organise our trips in small groups to create a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Our canyoning trips mainly take place in France, including the Vercors, the Hautes-Alpes and other spectacular mountain regions. We also organise canyoning adventures in selected destinations across Europe, depending on the season and available programmes.
The best time depends on the destination, weather conditions and water levels. Some canyons are best explored during summer, while other destinations offer excellent canyoning opportunities in spring or autumn. We plan our trips around the most suitable seasonal conditions.
Fitness requirements vary depending on the trip. Some adventures involve long approaches, technical abseils, swimming and several consecutive days of physical activity. Each trip description specifies the recommended fitness and experience level.
Safety always comes first. Canyon routes are selected according to weather forecasts and water conditions. If conditions are unsafe, we may adjust the itinerary or cancel certain descents. The applicable arrangements are explained in our booking terms and conditions.
It depends on the trip. Some packages may include accommodation and meals, while others cover canyoning activities and professional guiding only. All included and excluded services are clearly detailed in each trip description.
Yes! We offer personalised canyoning training tailored to your experience, goals and availability. Whether you’re travelling alone or with a small group, contact us to plan a course that suits your needs.
It depends on the course. Our independent canyoning course is designed for people who have already tried canyoning and want to develop their rope skills and become more involved in canyon descents. Our leadership, whitewater and big waterfall courses require previous experience appropriate to the technical level.
We offer different training courses depending on your experience and goals:
Independent Canyoning Course: Learn essential rope techniques and develop the skills needed to become a more independent canyoner.
Canyoning Leadership Course: Learn how to plan, rig and lead a group through a canyon.
Whitewater Canyoning Course: Understand water movements and learn how to navigate aquatic canyons safely.
Big Waterfalls & Advanced Rope Techniques: Develop the technical skills needed for long abseils and challenging vertical descents.
Not sure which course to choose? Get in touch and we’ll help you find the right one.
Our independent canyoning course helps you develop the technical knowledge and practical skills needed to take a more active role in canyon descents alongside experienced canyoners. Becoming fully independent takes time, practice and experience, so completing a short course does not automatically guarantee full autonomy.
Course duration depends on your experience and learning objectives. We generally recommend at least 2–3 days for our independent canyoning course and 3–4 days for our leadership course. Whitewater and big waterfall training can be organised over one or several days.
Our canyoning training courses mainly take place in the Vercors, Hautes-Alpes and Haute-Savoie regions of the French Alps. Depending on the season, conditions and training objectives, we can also organise courses in other mountain areas.
Yes! Whether you’re planning a weekend with friends, a challenging canyoning adventure or a trip to a specific destination, we can help create a personalised experience based on your skills, interests and availability.
The independent canyoning course focuses on essential rope skills and techniques to help you take an active role in canyon descents with experienced canyoners.
The leadership course is designed for already independent canyoners who want to develop their ability to plan, rig and manage a group descent in suitable canyons.
Equipment requirements depend on the course and the techniques covered. Before your training, we’ll let you know what to bring and which equipment may be provided. If you already own canyoning gear, feel free to let us know.
No. Our courses focus on developing personal canyoning skills, technical knowledge and independence. They do not provide a professional qualification or certification to work as a canyoning guide or instructor.
Training courses can be organised at different times of the year, depending on weather conditions, water levels and canyon accessibility. Some technical courses may also be available in spring and autumn, where there is less people in canyons.
Some courses have scheduled dates, while others are available on request. Check our website for upcoming sessions or contact us to arrange a personalised training course.
