Who is behind Canyon envie ?

Les Ecouges 2
Noémie Castaing

Noémie has been canyoning since 2017 and has been involved in outdoor sports in general since childhood.

Canyoning is her passion, and she loves sharing it! For her, there’s no off-season for canyoning; she’s in the water summer and winter, wetsuit or no wetsuit 😉

She has canyoned in many places around the world (New Zealand, Italy, Portugal, Réunion Island, Guadeloupe, Switzerland, Nepal) and has participated in several canyoning projects, including recently one of the longest canyons in the world in Nepal (Dandunge).

Before becoming a professional instructor, she earned a master’s degree in ecology and then worked for several years in naturalist associations before becoming an instructor for a vocational diploma in Nature Management and Protection in Thônes (74). Today, she wants to combine her two passions by sharing her environmental knowledge related to canyoning.

  • Master’s degree in Ecology (2013)
Several years of experience in a naturalist association
  • Teacher for BTS GPN (Nature Management) and Bac Pro (Professionnal Baccalaureate) programs in Landscape Design for 4 years
  • DEJEPS (State Diploma of Youth, Popular Education and Sport) in Canyoning (2023)
  • Experience as a BAFA (French certificate for youth leaders) nature guide
  • Experience (1 year) as a project manager for outdoor sports at the Vercors Regional Natural Park
