Pissarde canyon

The ideal canyon for descending your first big vertical drops, just a stone's throw from Grenoble

Full day (5 hours of activity)

Approach hike: 5 minutes

Hiking time: 4 to 5 hours

Return: 10 minutes

Difficulty: Difficult / Technical

Accessible from age 14, this canyon is technical due to its length and its final 80-meter waterfall! It’s the ideal canyon for tackling your first big vertical drops.

Description:

The Pissarde canyoning trip can be done as a half-day or full-day excursion. The full-day trip transforms into a longer canyoning adventure, culminating in a stunning 80-meter waterfall. This canyon offers the opportunity to rappel down beautiful waterfalls in a stunning natural setting, despite its proximity to the city.

Activity Itinerary:

At the parking lot, your instructor will provide you with all the necessary equipment (more information on the equipment provided and what you need to bring can be found here).

We will then shuttle you to the canyon’s starting point.

The descent begins. The itinerary includes numerous rappels ranging from 5 to 80 meters, with increasing difficulty. The waterfalls are beautiful but not particularly challenging, although a head for heights is essential. Several deep pools and one or two natural slides punctuate the route. The descent ends with a dramatic vertical drop offering a magnificent view of the valley.

Once finished, you can reach the parking lot in 10 minutes.

A picnic can be enjoyed in the canyon, on a flat, sunny section.
