Discover canyoning in the Vercors

What is canyoning ?
Canyoning is a mountain activity that involves descending torrents and rivers, some more enclosed than others, on foot. Obstacles encountered (especially waterfalls) are overcome either by jumping, sliding, rappelling, or using a zip line.
What gear is necessary ?
Canyoning requires wearing a 5mm neoprene wetsuit because the river water is cold, a harness for rappelling, and a helmet for safety. All this equipment is provided for your trip with us. We use recent, certified, and regularly inspected equipment.
What do I need to bring to go canyoning?
Most of the equipment is provided, but we ask that you bring the following equipment for outings:
- A pair of lace-up sneakers (no water shoes!)
- A swimsuit and a towel
- A change of clothes and shoes for after the outing
- A water bottle and a snack for after the outing, or a picnic if you’re coming for the day
- Your best smile!
Who can go canyoning ?
Everyone has the ability to go canyoning. However, for safety reasons, this activity is not recommended:
- For people with health problems (e.g., cardiovascular issues, vertigo, recent bone injuries, etc.)
- For pregnant women
- For children under 6 years old
If in doubt, please don’t hesitate to ask us for advice!
For people with diabetes or asthma, please bring your medication with you when you leave.
